Scott K
I guess I dont understand the players that want out of their contracts, and are holding out. If they wanted that option, it should have been added to their contracts. Let say a player signs, and agrees to a 4 year 4 million dollar contract. Then all of a sudden he breaks out and has a good year, now he thinks he is worth more then 1 million a year, so he holds out. If the player didnt think 1 million dollars a year wasnt enough, he should have worked in a opt out deal in the contract. I personally think if the players dont want to play for the amount of their contracts, and they decide to sit out, or be a pita for the team because of their unhappyness of their contract, the owners should tell them to go flip burgers until their contract expires, then they will be free to resign a new contract for the amount they then think is what they are worth.Either that, or only sign a 1 or 2 year deal, then after that, if you are that good, you will get a better contract. But on the other hand, if you suck, you wont get paid any thing, and no one will sign you. In other words, live up to the contract you signed, and suck it up. PierBridge
It's pretty simple really, when your agent "LAWYER" tells you that you are underpaid and worth more at the present time. You listen to him and heed his advice.
