Just a reminder

I know that bass fishermen during tournaments wear their life jackets when they are running with their big motor, probably because they'd get DQ'd if they didn't. After a weekend with some sad news of 4 boaters who died (one of whom was my friend) and 3 who were hospitalized from a boat crash on the Chippewa River in Wisconsin, I think it's well deserving of a reminder for everyone to have it on when they are running, and if not on while fishing at least readily accessible. Maybe a life jacket would have saved some lives. This hit home hard for me as my Dad was also killed in a boating accident when I was 17 because he wasn't wearing a life jacket. It only takes a second for an accident to happen, and when its on the water everything becomes more dangerous and the window of time to save people is reduced to seconds without flotation. My friend had a 3 year old son, a wife, and a baby on the way. My Dad left behind my 2 brothers, my mom, and numerous friends and family. Stay safe out there and please wear your life jacket and hook up your kill switch.
