That really would of been nice. But one good thing is, most of these guys played together last year(with the exception of Rubio and Williams). So maybe just coming together with this new system might do them good. You gotta think the young guys are sick of losing and that might do wonders for Adelman. Heck, I don't think we can do any worse than last year!

I actually think we will win close to 30 games this year, and just miss the 8th seed. I think as the season wears on, the young Wolves will have the stamina with these 3 games in 5 day weeks throughout the season, whreas the veteran teams will tire faster. We may have a slower start, but I am betting we have a strong finish.

If you look back at the end of last season, we were in most of the games, or even ahead going in to the 4th quarter, that we should, or could have won. Whether we flubbed it for the draft pick, or if it was coaching, I think this year, we win most of them close games. The other thing to help us out, is our division is getting weaker, while we are getting better. We have some good talent on the team, if Love plays to the same level as last year, Beasely plays as well as he did before he got injured, then lost all his desire to play, Randalph said he gained some muscle over the off season, which could put him as a decent center. If Williams, and Rubio live up to half the hype, we should have a good team. I sure wish the Wolves would have gotten a proven center, but I think Adelman will be creative enough to get Darko, AR, Love, and Pec to do a good enough job.

Most teams now dont have a big guy in the middle, and when we are playing those teams, we could have a line on the floor with Love at center, Rubio, Williams, Beasely, and Wes in there. I think we will see this line a few times this year, although defense may be a little sketchy, but the scoring may make it so it sint a huge deal.

This is the most excited I have been for a season to start in mnay years, since KG, Spree, and Googs was on the team. Although as a MN fan, I am well aware that I will more then likely be let down.

I could be wrong but Googs was gone before Sprewell....I think you are thinking of the year with KG, Spree, and The Alien (Sam Cassel)

You are definitly correct. Sprewell and cassel both came in the offseason in 2003.

I gotta say this is the most excited I have been about or basketball team too. I was pretty pumped with those other 3 big names we had in 2003, but now we have a BUNCH of young talent and a great coach to go along with that. Even if we don't make the playoffs this year, I can still see it coming in the very near future. BUT, like you said wandering, this IS a Minnesota team and we are very accustomed to letdowns! SKOL WOLVES! grin

I think we will have some ups and downs as Ricky Rubio gets accustomed to the NBA and going against the best PG's in the world night in and night out but I think this kid is out to prove that he belongs in the NBA and will suceed!! GO WOLVES
