Nolan
Because the access is on some type of park are we going to be able to use this lake during the shut down? Don't wanna drive over there to find a locked gate... Thanks
jalberg
I was wondering the same thing about some other lakes.
oleballcoach
The three rivers parks were not a part of the state shut down according to their HSOforum. I believe that the lake Auburn launch is associated with three rivers parks. Medicine also has a launch that is run by three rivers and there are some others as well. So they are good to go as long as they are not Minnesota State parks.
Tator2k
Three Rivers and Carver Co Parks are all County ran NOT state ran facilities.
Juan Grande
Yeah, county run stuff should be fine. Not sure about Father Hennepin or some other state parks, but local stuff is open.
chuckwagon
I was riding past lake auburn today and saw boats on the southern part of the lake ... is the water high enough to get boats through to access both lakes now?
Orlip
yes. with trolling motor. I scooted thru there last year as well, I guess it depends on how bigyour boat is.
EBass
East side isn't the same since this past winter kill. It really took a toll in my opinion.
Fever
I don't beleive the east side has ever been as good as the west lake. The west lake has the depth that larger fish like. They have the opportunity to move deep if pressured or if bothered by cold front / unfavorable conditions. East part of the lake has a bit muddier bottom and is for the most part much more shallow and less wind protected.
jalberg
I have been on 3 lakes that winter killed this year. I havn't fished the east side of Auburn this year because I was pretty sure it winter killed as well. Sounds like i was right.
