I'd say go with as much as you can afford/install. Always nice to have a little extra if you need it.

Same here. 55lbs is usually only $5-10 more then 50. 30 going to 45, plan on droping an extra $100 and 45 going to 55, it's going to raise you another $75.

Whats more practicle to you? Sounds like your 30lbs is fine except in high winds so maybe a 40lbs would be plenty and save yourself $75 and use that to replace your battery someday...

sorry-didn't really answer your question. YES-you'd see a very nice improvement jumping 10lbs of thrust!

How much difference will you see going from 30# to 40#? Approximately 33% increase. From 30# to 55# will be nearly double.

Note: It isn't going to be quite that much due to prop slippage but close.
