Cold mornings

I peeked at the forecast for the weekend, and it shows overnight lows all the way down in the high 30s for the Leech Lake area. Does a little cold snap like that slow bass down enough that it's not really worth getting up early and going out? I hope not, as weekend crack-of-dawn outings are usually the easiest for me to get out!

If they are up spawning they will stay there. They may not be as active, but they shouldn't leave the area. The only time of the year "have" to be somewhere...

That's always the problem with shallow water early in the season. Can really chill down on a cold night, and temp. volatility is seldom good news. Can usually find fish not too far from where you put them to bed but may have to get deeper into cover and slow down...
