Couldn't be worse timing...

Had my annual physical today and everything went great. But, I found out I was due for my tetanus shot. Well, my jigging/reeling arm is already very sore and supposed to get much worse before getting better...Sometime in the next 36 hours. Looks like I'll be a southpaw this weekend.

It figures that this would happen the day before the first opener I can enjoy in the last couple years. Oh well....

Have fun and be safe everyone!!

It's how it always goes. Pretty much every time the weather has been good this spring and I wanted to get out fishing, the wife had to work late so I stayed home with my 8 month old boy. Yeah, I still wanted to be out, but there are plenty of good days ahead smile

You could try to make a paste out of a couple of aspirin tablets and water and rub it on the spot where you got the shot. It's a cheap anti-inflammatory and works on bug bites and bee stings. Never tried it on a shot before but might help. Good luck

I feel you. I tweaked my neck badly somehow this morning and can hardly move or ANYTHING except sitting/walking with my upper body absolutely still, at least not without lots of pain! I think my fishing weekend is wrecked.

Ice and heat may get me out by monday but I'm quite surprised how just a pinched muscle or something can be such a big issue.
