I believe I say this for the majority of anglers in Minnesota..
Thank you for taking the time to clean-up the mess others have made. You are all to be commended. Very good job of organizing Steve!

Here is the article written in the Duluth News tribune

Take a look in the BWCA-Duluth-Ely Forum to see how this started.

It was better than I expected. We had 17 guys and KQDS and the Duluth News Tribune ran storys on us.
Local businesses were very happy to donate door prizes for our cause. Several people stopped our guys and said thanks and even picked up some stuff as well.
We have been doing this one time a year but I think we may have to do it a few times a summer. Maybe next year we can get 40 people and do several locations and once and then have a picnic/barbeque after.
Thanks to everyone who helped out or donated prizes!

Great job! This is what real sportmen are all about! Most of us do what we do for the love of being outdoors and this is the kind of thing that will keep the outdoors the way they should be. Thanks for what you did!

I believe there was a radio station out there covering them as well.

Thanks for the clean-up effort!!!!

Yes, as my post stated Jason Manning of KQDS in Duluth ran a tidbit for us. Jason is a long tome FMer but just doesnt get a chance to post or fish near enough. Im still trying to get him out this fall.
Rick next summer, maybe late July, we should do a state wide FM cleanup. Get different area forum Pro Staff to set up places near them to get cleaned up. I can see if Jason will air it and the paper as well as a friend at Channel 10/13 up here to cover it. Im sure if we got something solid going everyone would be more than willing to PR it and sponsors to donate Door Prizes.
