KEN W
I made some ribs yesterday for mother's day.Rubbed in a good rub.Smoked them for a 1/2 hour in my Masterbuilt. Then cut them into 2 rib pieces and browned them on the gril for a few minutes. Then in the pressure cooker they went,Covered them with BBQ sauce and stood them on end till it was full.Set the timer for 45 minutes.Took them out and slathered them again with BBQ sauce and put them in the oven for a few minutes to carmelize the sauce.Best ribs I've ever made.Total time was about 1 1/2 hours instead of 5 in the smoker. reinhard1
thanks, Ken, that's a time saver and a great way to prepare ribs. here is an old rib reciepe; four sides of baby backs or spare ribs.1 tsp. salt1/2 tsp freshly cracked pepper.1 large onion sliced onion ring style.1 lime sliced1/2 cup strong black coffee1/2 cup tomato paste1/2 cup honey2 tbls brown sugar2 tbls tequila1 tsp. worcestershire saucea shot of sriracha hot sauce or your favorite hot saucesprinkle bothe sides with salt and pepper [use what your comfortable with]. place rib side up, on rack in a covered barbecue grill; cook 60 minutes, truning occasionally. place onions and lime slices on the meaty side of ribs for the last 20 minutes of cooking time. to make sauce, combine remaining ingredients; brush ribs generously with sauce and continue cooking for 30 minutes or until ribs are tender. continue to brush the ribs as they cook. grab some napkins. good luck. McGurk
Total time was about 1 1/2 hours instead of 5 in the smoker. Yeah, but what are you going to do with the other 3 1/2 hours? If my weekend cooks go to fast I get roped into doing housework and other things I really don't want to do.

KEN W
Could be a problem. But not here.I find something to do that I like.Reading,Working in my garden,or just plain watching a ballgame.Plus it's not just a timesaver....the taste from out of the pressure cooker is really good.I used just a cup of beef broth in the cooker.....got to try the coffee mixture next time. Also want to try cherry coke as the liquid.
