Eyeguy2 if you plan on using stricyly the bow check into the archery license as it allows you to hunt the last 2 season and is available over the counter.

Sorry DDHost.

One license per spring season.

Yep what Borch said, with the archery tag you can hunt nonstop from May 13th-26th in any zone with over 60 permits per week if you take a gun tag you have to chose one of the 7 day seasons and a zone to hunt.

Correction: I believe it is any zone with 50 or more permits smile

This may be a dumb question but I heard it somewhere so I have to ask. If I strike out in my season with the gun can I purchase a bow license for the late season?

Dhost21 Not sure you got the answer you want. If you get drawn for a zone with a gun you hunt the zone. If you strike out for that zone you were drawn. You can not buy a bow license for the bow seasons. Found this under 2011 SPRING WILD TURKEY HUNT APPLICATION PROCEDURES

An archery spring turkey license can be purchased that is valid for the last two time periods only in any permit area with 50 or more permits per time period. Lottery applicants that are successful in the 2011 spring turkey lottery will not be eligible to purchase an archery spring turkey license. I hope this answers your questions.
