florocarbon leaders

I am a superbraid guy and superbraids fit my needs 90% of the time. but the other 10% I fish very clear water and want to eliminate line visability. I have read many posts on here an hear people using florocarbon leaders. Do you use a swivel or tie florocarbon directly to the superbraid. Does the swivel snag on boat docks and vegitation.

Any other suggestions would be appreicated. The main thing I don't want to do is respooling for a different lake.

I like the netknot site as well. Seaguar fluorocarbon line maker made this knot for mono to fluoro which is easy to tie.

For braided to fluoro the Albright is pretty easy and designed for braided to a different material line. Also pretty easy to tie.

Both knots pass the eyes fine and rarely catch on anything else either.

+1 on the albright. Easier to tie, smaller, and stronger than the uni to uni. I was reluctant to change from the uni to uni because the albright looked difficult to tie. After spending a few minutes learning to tie the knot, I was surprised how easy it is to tie. I always struggled with the uni to uni out in the boat on a rough and windy day.

thanks for the suggestions. I tried a couple of knots last night and the easiest to tie for me was the albright two of the first three knots held really well. this is the one I am going to try this season. I am going to try this on my crappie rods also.

As for WHY I use uni to uni knots:

The first time I went fishing for sharks, a guy at the bait shop got me set up with 100lb mono leaders and showed me uni-to-uni knots to tie the leader to my braided line.

I already used uni knots for most of my fishing so using uni-to-uni knots was very natural, fast, and easy to tie.

I learned one knot that works, and it stuck, and never bothered to learn any others.

I'm sure plenty of other knots work great, and may even work better or be easier to tie for certain people, but I've never had problems with the way I do it.

I highly recommend trying different things out and seeing what works for you laugh
