Fairchild_82
Does anyone know about their lake that is stocked with bass? i've heard rumors of 2.5 to 3.5lbs every cast. I know it's marked for no trespassing, does any one know how to fish this? asking for permission and what not...? I know where the lake is, and it's kind of tricky to get back to, so i cannot tell where its at, i do not think they would appreciate. Thank you! LegattoAD
I was only able to find one Aggregate Industries in MN, so I imagine you're talking about the one located in the southern 'burbs. In which case, after looking at Bing, it doesn't look like there is any water connected to their lot - unless they also own the buildings to the east. In any case, there is also what looks like a private residence on the south side of the pond and a church on the west side of the pond. You'd probably be more successful in asking one of them first, but at the business, you're going to want to talk to someone in facilities. Most likely the manager would be the one who has that authority.Good luck!
Basschaser
The company I work for buys massive amounts of sand and aggregate from Aggregate Industries. They have pits all over the country. The materials we buy comes from the Elk River area and near Osceola, Wi. on the Minnesota side of the river. The pits that I have been to have 10 foot fences around them so my guess is, due to safety, your chances of getting permission to fish on their property is slim to none. CAMAN
Maybe apply for a job there?
itchmesir
More often than not how do fish end up in pits? Is it just from law breakers throwing what they catch into them? Or is it more of a DNR "let's play god and see what happens when we do this" sort of deal?
river rat316
A person can legally stock their pond, the dnr doesn't own everything. For most of the pits you are not going to get permission to fish them for safety reasons, most of the pit lakes I have seen are very steep drop offs and if someone fell in they need assistance to get out (especially due to the super fine sands that usually line the pits).
