Pope & Young Convention

Recommended Posts

Anyone making the trip to Rochester this weekend for the national P&Y convention? It's the club's 50th anniversary this year. I'm really looking forward to the award ceremony and taking a tour at the museum. Should be a good time! Any of you guys ever been to one?

The convention was pretty neat. The top 3 of each animal class were recognized & on display.

3 new world records: Alaskan-Yukon Moose, Non-Typical Coues Deer, & Typical Mule Deer.

A big Glen St. Charles tribute, a Saxton Pope/Art Young African lion hunt skit, and live/silent auctions were among the highlights.

A long list of industry folks and top hunters were in attendance as well. Randy Ulmer won 3 awards.

The broadhead collection at the museum is a must see. Spectacular exhibits as well.

Here's the new world record typical mulie and Alaskan moose. There's video on youtube of this moose kill by rackman - amazing.
