I don't remember what the rules are for links but thought this was worth the risk of getting deleted. If you haven't seen the 2011 NHL Playoff commercials - they are pretty cool. On UND Area Voices I found the link to the Toews commercial. That is by far the coolest commercial I have seen in a while.

Wish, Easter Epic, Mess, and 49 Years (or something like that) are the names of the commercials.

I like that commercial. I also like the one that shows Chicago fans putting on there hats and patrick Kane scoring a hattrick. That one is on Versus.

I think it depends on the mood of the mod with links and websites. I have gotten posts deleted for mentioning a HSOforum name and then go to the next thread and there are links and websites all over.

Wow that was a great commercial. I wonder how many hours and dollars it takes for parents to allow their kids the opportunity to go all the way? Must be a fun ride.

pretty good investment considering Toews is making $6.5 mil this year. yes, only a tiny percentage of players make it to being that successful, but there is more return on the investment than just the $$ in the paycheck, as anyone who played the game could tell you.

On a different note, a simple google search will show you that tuition at Shattuck this year is $36k.... not 50

I am not in any know, and I hate to assume. But I would assume that most of the hockey players are not paying full price. There are diferent athletic and academic scholarships available.

Thats besides the point though.

Some of the parody ones are really funny. One is Ovechkin spraying a kid with ice as he stops. The caption:

"What if Alexander Ovechkin was a nice guy"

Have you guys seen the commercial where Crosby (I think) shoots the pyramid of pucks off the boards. Pretty cool. It is like one of those power aide homemade video shots where athletes do amazing things. I have seen it a few times but yesterday is the first time i paid attention. Looks real as can be.

If you go on you tube and search sidney crosby a bunch of cool videos show up including that one. The stuff he does with a stick and a puck is pretty amazing.

The RBK Crosby commercial is pretty cool, but if you look closely enough it is obviously somewhat fake. some tricky camera work makes it look real but check out the extra pucks that appear in frames when he's shooting and an extra puck on the right side of the pyramid before he shoots the rolling one.
