Lost Island Resort on Lac Seul Hudson ON.

Has anyone out there ever been to this resort? We had to switch from where we have been going for the last 5 years over by Makahwa. I have a baby due right in the middle of our normal time. So we moved up to a early-mid June trip. I had this place recommended to me and it sounds pretty nice. Just wondering what other people think.

You have nothing to be concerned about iffwalleyes! The owner's, Shane and Chris Hayes, are without a doubt two of the finest people in the resort business that I have had the good fortune to meet and get to know. To tell the truth, I've never been to Lost Island Lodge but it's not because I haven't wanted to. I simply can't afford to go there. What resort did you stay at by Makahwa? I know there are a couple of different resorts in that area, we've stayed at a couple of different ones.

Fishing is typically really good when we go up there in mid to late June. Unfortunately we don't normally do really well on the main lake so we find ourselves boating to a few different spots a few miles away.

I've never stayed at Lost Island but I have heard it's very nice. For about 15 years I've been staying at Lac Seul Resort that is very near Lost Island. I stay there rather Lost Island because it's cheaper (but also a bit more rustic). I love that area of Lac Seul. There are a lot of great spots nearby so you generally don't have to burn a ton of gas running around. Good luck and if you need some tips on where to fish let me know. I can help you out.

I usually go with iffwalleyes.. we usually stay at Mahkoon's... which is on the point by Mahkwa. We're trying something different due to a schedule change.

I go by there on our houseboat. Well usually I do, I am normally there right now, but couldn't make it this year. I had to punish myself and show up in this forum just to pain myself. sad.
