HumminBird 60 question

FishLocker

Question

I was given a HumminBird Sixty flasher to get into condition for use by a youth group. The box works wonderfully but depth always shows 2 1/2 feet. Customer service would only say they quit making it in the 80's and no longer have parts, but no help in diagnosis.

There are fine cracks in the transducer puck, so I am guessing it has a bad transducer. My quesiton is this, are there transducers out there that may work with this flasher? It has a standard RCA plug, so I am sure it is old technology.

Maybe someone out there has an old one in the garage that may still work?

Thanks for the input.

The other and I would try this one first.

I hope this is ok with the forum rules to help you out.

Hopefully you can get this up and running without breaking the bank for the youth group.

Thank you, I have already emailed Greg but find Rogers number no longer in service. Has he maybe changed the name of the company? I will try to locate the company in Pequot Lakes too.

Thank you for your help.

Anyone else have ideas?

Greg's emails keep bouncing back without getting delivered, and the Pequot Lakes guy says unless someone has an old transducer that would fit, it is not worth ordering a new one as a new flasher is only 20 bucks more than the replacement transducer.

If anyone has access to a working ransducer with an RCA plug connection I would love to hear from you, otherwise it is to the recycler with the old HumminBird.

Thanks for all your input on this guys. I appreciate it.
