Window World windows

I went to the web site and searched for a while. I couldn't find any test data like u values, air or water infiltration, structural data. Maybe I missed it?? Anyway, I wouldn't even consider a window without test data. Generally you get what you pay for in windows.

BTW, I did a total window replacement in my house last summer because I had windows just like yours; in a strong wind I could see the draperies move! I put in Pella Proline Windows and what a difference! Worth every penny!

So I just wondered if anyone has done anything with Window World yet? I need 3 vinyl insulated windows for my garage/shop now that I am heating it. 46" w x 24 h either sliders or maybe awning so I can have them open when it rains. I checked at a big box store and they are $160 ea.

I would avoid them. Against my better judgement, we made an appt. w/that co. and waited 90 min. for them.. They never showed up. Any window advertised that cheap, is just that, cheap. In hindsight, I'm glad they never showed up. In your situation, maybe their windows would be adequate as they are for a shop/garage, not your home. I would be wary, just the same.

I replaced my garage windows with vinyl insulated "awning" style and they were only like $70 - 80 bucks each from Menards if I remember right. That was last spring.

If I remember correctly the "any window installed for 198" is for a double hung white in white out no larger than 3'X5'. I do not remeber if it included the Low-E coating and Argon gas fill (make sure it includes those). For a garge it would be fine with the Low-E and Argon. But it sounds like you have a horizontal opening if you are looking at sliders...anything outside of the advertised window is a large up-tick in price. I tried getting sliders from them and the price was more than the Save Big Money store. Ended up going to A. H. Bennett near the intersection of 394 and 94 in Mpls.

Good luck on your project.
