The Best....of all worlds!

All of us have heard the phrase "the best of two worlds "used in one way or another. I'd like to expand on that a bit.
FishingMinnesota.com has it all and, simply put, provides the "best of all worlds" in the outdoor arena! Fishing, hunting, boating, tech talk, ....you name it, it is here. Sure there are other sites, but by looking at the differences and you'll see why this one is tops.
FM is truely a multi-species network. Fm is not locked up concentrating on one species because the people here know that there is more to the fishing world, than say, walleyes. If what you need to know cannot be found in a regional forum there are at least two other forum available for those questions to be answered. Specifics on certain species are found in their own forums where up to date, absolutely the hottest information can be found.
FishingMinnesota.com promotes two things straight up: fishing and having fun doing so. The site is host to the cleanest educational information to be found anywhere. On-site, technical questions can get answers in a blink and not just from the pro-staff, but every one and anyone who wants to contribute. The amount of information given back to a simple question can be phenominal and is given in clear terms which help yet, promote thought....fishing after-all is a learning experience. The answers come in English, not a bunch of smilie faces dropping their drawers or chasing after each other with an axe. Smilies may be cute, but they contain little information. Friendships and humor are encouraged here, but 99% of the time if you have a question to something, it gets answered....without it turning into a "good ole boys" type of chit-chat session. Serious questions get serious answers. Other sites use "moderators" or site babysitters, to help direct the flow of information and all too often they end up with generic, hand-me-down, information. FM uses pro-staff to head up each forum and each of those pro-staff have long time ,hard- earned, experience in each field they are assigned. The pro-staff are not here to intimidate, but, rather, be sure that questions/statements get the proper up-to-date notice and to be sure that the rules are followed to keep the site problem free.
As mentioned, anyone can toss in their two cents in answering a question. When the pro-staff reply, you can be assured that they KNOW what they are talking about....they are spending their time doing it. It is not at all uncommon for one pro-staff to receive a question only to refer it to another forum or pro-staffer because he (she) may not know the appropriate answer. There are staffers on this site who have fished certain waters for over 40 years. There are staffers here who have fished certain species for over forty years.
Nonetheless, the staffers are still eager to learn from the younger, more aggresive new-comers and ,trust me, we do learn.
One of the primary tenets at FM is learning new things. Many people would like to try something different: maybe just to try it, maybe to look a bit deeper into the hidden mysteries of fishing, maybe to try a different angle on something that didn't work out so well once in the past. All of us have our niches and openly share those with the readers. It is how all of us can expand our abilities to be better at what we love to do.
Fishing is the heart of FM. The out-of-doors offers many other areas of use and Fm has the backbone of information to cover those as well as the fishing. Again, you will find the easy mix of the professional and the tyro blended together to make it a learning experience. And again, this will be done with straight forward replies that are not full of comic-strip replies and idle banter.
FishingMinnesota's motto "we have more fun" just scratches the surface of what FishingMinnesota stands for. Truely a site for the angler of any species, a site for any family member, a site for any region....FishingMinnesota.com is a site that goes well beyond just having "the best of two worlds": it goes into and holds the crown for being the "BEST OF ALL WORLDS" in the outdoor arena. It is the family of families and I am darned proud to be a part of it. To Rick and all of the others here...my hat is off to all of you.

Very well said Tom. I wouldn't change a thing. But you could actually call this place outdoors MN because it covers every thing. Good things like this started at the top. Good job Rick and crew!
