Ok guys, I just renewed my faith in the Mr Heater Buddy heaters. I picked up a Portable buddy on bargain for $69. Last time I own one was like maybe 3 years ago and although I have used them in the past my ownership experience was less than pleasant.

I dont remember if it was safe to leave the propane tanks attached to the heater during short term storage. I didnt see anything about it on the manual or maybe missed it? So do you guys leave the 1lb propane tank connected during short term storage?

Otherwise imma be more safe and than sorry so im leaving my tanks not connected at the moment until use.

I would leave them on becouse you would think that the more times you break that seal the better chance you have of them leaking! I do have to take mine off my lantern every time to get it in the case and havn't had any issues though!

I also recently purchased a buddy heater and thought it would be fine to just leave the tank on there but after leaving it in the cab of my truck over night, you could smell propane in the truck, not overwhelming but noticeable, is this normal? I checked and everything was off, and tank was tightened well to heater.
