Garmin 240?

Doop, I have had the Garmin 240 since it came out. It is great unit and very user friendly. I as well have sinced moved this unit to the bow of the boat and replaced with new bottom line unit. Concerning fish arcs. This unit like any unit takes time to learn to read and very rarely are you ever going to see a perfect fish arc. When fishing Mille lacs on the sand or the mud I have been on top of fish moving as slow speed and got many great arcs..The key is to be able to read and understand what you are seeing. Hard bottom vs. soft and finding those key transition area's where the fish love to hang out.

I love my 240, a great little unit with a user friendly attitude. Don't bother with the fish ID feature though, I've never seen a graph with a reliable fish ID, I prefer to look at the normal image. I'm on my fourth season with no trouble at all.
