Best place to stay in Wis. dells with a 7 and 11 y/o.

Last summer we went with my 8/5 year old boys, my sister in laws; 10 yo boy, 16 yo girl and another 15 year old nephew.

We stayed at Dells Island Resort on a tip from a friend.

It was $100 / night, plus free access to Mt. Olympus and Chula Vista (although if it isn't raining, no real reason to go to Chula Vista, as it's 90% indoors).

Much cheaper than the $300 / night at Kalahari. Sure the water park isn't all inclusive on sight, but we can drive the 3 miles to Mt. Olympus for #200 / day.

If you look at the reviews online, they're about 50/50, but most of the bad ones are over a year old. We decided to roll the dice and if things were real bad, we would stay somewhere else the 2nd and 3rd night.

Most of the complaints were about beds not being made during the day, rooms not refreshed while vistors were out. Our beds were remade, towels put back and our kids' pjs were even folded again on the bed.

We also were given vouchers for free breakfast at BK right next door.

We would definately stay there again. It's like Vegas and Disney World, you don't go to those places to spend time in the motel room.
