Rangers new bass boat line

I just got out of a Ranger meeting and those that are looking for a new bass boat on a budget should take a look at the new Z118. This is a 18'8" 150 HP that will be sold in the low 30's. Looks to be a great boat, and it won't break the bank either.

There is also a Z119 and a Z120, with the 120 being a 200HP boat out the door in the low 40's.

I still love the z21, every time I'm fishing in my dads champion one goes by and makes it look like a kids toy. 21 feet compared to 19 is a big difference especially that ranger it has so much room.

The Z118 is basically the same boat as the 188 that they have been making for the last couple or so years. The Z120 is the same hull as the Z20 and the Z119 is basically last years 198. The Z119 will be a 200hp boat and the Z120 will be a 225hp rated boat. I would like the see if any of these will be at the boat show this year. Last year was a pretty disappointing boat show.

Yep, pretty much the same hull as you said, but they took out some of the cadillac items to lower the cost. Instead of the nice touchpad controls you get rocker switches, they are rated for a lower HP to keep cost down and things like that. The hull is still built with the same quality as the other lines, just the add ons are cheaper. The Z120 is rated for a 225 but will come "standard" with a 200 to keep cost down.

This was not intended to be another "this is the best boat in the world" thread, I just put it out there since there is now another lower cost bass boat out there. I think that the new owners of Ranger have noticed the low cost competition and want some of that action too.

I would think Ranger would have some at the show but the floor space they have isn't that big, so I am not sure. I did hear that Rapid has a good inventory right now but they will not be at the boat show.

Most quality 18 footers are all over 30k, especially rangers
