Wildgame Innovations IR5 5.0MP Digital Game Scouting Camera with Infrared Flash

Anybody use these cameras? Are they as easy to use as Moultrie? do you like them/

I bought a few of these on Black friday, cuz they happened to be 1/2 price. Was expecting a pretty low quality being how cheap they were. ..

After using them for the last month and a half I'm [PoorWordUsage] I didn't pick up more. I have a cuddeback as well and I think the Wild IR takes better daytime pics and comparable night time pics. The Wild IR doesn't seem to have the same trigger distance sensitivity as other pricey cams, but greatfor the price.

I would say the best feature is the battery saving capabilities. Since the day after Thanksgiving they have been out. Checked them on sunday and one was down to half battery. Considering the low temps we've had, not bad for four standard Energizer batts.

IMO they are great.

What size batteries do they use?

I used to have one but I had lemon after lemon. Great video but wasn't impressed with how long they lasted. This past summer I think I went through about 5 of them from Spring till Mid Sept when I finally switched it out for Moultrie.

Hit and miss for me. Batteries seemed to last ok at 1st, till cold weather came then they only lasted 2 weeks. The day pics were great, night all were blurry just about, unless the deer was out in the distance. All of my close ups at night were blurry enough that I sometimes couldn't count the antler points. Getting them half price on black friday was the only reason I am happy with the purchase, otherwise I would consider them sub-par, but usable. Great daylight photos on every one.

Just to clarify, I use cheap batteries, so using a better brand may make them last better in the cold, but cheap batteries do last in my better cameras?
