Brake Controller for 2007 Ford Expedition

I need to put a brake controller in for the fish house. Anyone have a favorite model they use in their vehicle? I do like the ones with a digital number.

I have never installed one of these but heard it is easy if you have the right plug ends.

Any insight would be helpfull, thanks

I normally install Tekonsha units. Very simple to install on most vehicles.

Guess what ? Tekonsha has my vote too. I installed dozens of them on all my vehicles, always reliable and well made.

Get the simple Prodigy, all you need is the connector adapter for your truck, ask for it where you buy the controller, otherwise if you don't mind splicing 4 wires you can do it yourself, but the adapter gets a cleaner job and can be removed in case you want to sell the truck (keep the controller).

I called my aunt at her Napa store and got one through them. It has NAPA brand on it, but after further inspection it is made by Tekonsha. It is the Voyager XP Model. I also got the wiring harness and wow did that make everything easy.

Would a time delay or proportional controller be best on the ice. I am curious if a proportional controller is sensitive enough on glare ice?
