I'm torn between ice fishing and giving the bow season one last try (I know, life is sooo hard ). I have gotten 2 does for the freezer this year but still have my buck tag in hand. It isn't because i'm overly selective either. I had the opportunity on a fork horn opening night that i passed but other than that i have not seen a buck in range. I have 2 decent 8's on camera semi-regularly 15 min or so after dark. All it would take is for one to make a small mistake and come through a bit earlier. To be honest, right now i would rather fish but i dont know if i'll be able to live with myself come April/May when i have the bug bad for passing up an opportunity to be on stand!

I was forunate enough to get my buck on halloween...just want to try and fill a doe tag before its all over!! I'm already chomping at the bit for next year...

Prove that your deer came from the metro...I would stick to the following dates, but thats just me. good luck everyone, going out at 230pm!!

I didn't know wisconsin had a metro area..lol. I just looked at WDNR site...can't find anything like that. Probably a good idea for someone to post if its true.

Went out last night...I was hunting over a picked cornfield. Around 430pm the deer start hammering the field from all different areas...no luck..they all stayed well out of range. Going back out tonight for that one last chance.
