Gordie
Anybody been hunting that way and is it possible to hunt the rivers or water self guided or is it tough to do? What area would be good to go to theis time of year?I'm thinking of driving south next week for a few days to possible shoot some ducks. goblueM
elwood, my buddy i've been hunting with at Virginia Tech is from SE Arkansas - he said he "strongly advises against DIY arkansas trips, not because of the birds but because of the people". so take that for what its worth I guess
SledNeck
Very low water conditions in Arkansas right now. Rivers should be the hotspot. You can try the Cache River in NE Arkansas (I've never hunted there). I hunt near Stuttgart for week every year. We hunt Bayou Meto (flooded timber) but I dont recommend doing that yourself going in blind. My friends down there lease rice fields so we hunt them too. YOu can call around to guides and find a good price on some rice fields per day and that might be your best bet. Though I don't know if the drought is gonna effect everything price wise. If you find water you will kill ducks.Stuttgart is the Mecca of American waterfowl hunting..everyone should atleast experience it once!
