Well, I came home from a week of hunting to find out from the wife that the dishwasher was leaking. I determined it to be the drain line. As an FYI, last time I buy LG. Parts have to be ordered and it will be weeks. Anyway, the moisture damaged the oak flooring on both sides of the kitchen island it resides. About 10 rows of wood are buckled.

I am wondering what my options are. I really don't want to replace the entire floor since it starts in the entry way of the house and goes all the way to the back. It is a real oak floor, so I am not sure if the individual boards can be replaced or refinished. Any thoughts are much appreciated.

After it dries out the buckling should go back down. A fan on it when at night and when your away will speed that up some. When the moister leaves you might find that color matches again.

If it turns out that you need to do something with it then yes you can refinish just the damaged area.

Odds are it won't return to normal, it may go back down some....you can replace just the damaged boards if you can find the exact replacement material, you also, MAY be able to sand down the floor in the affected areas and just adjacent and refinish, to get a match you will have to refinish the entire floor more than likely, and new wood doesn't look like wood thats been down for a while, but it will catch up with the existing.

Never buy LG anything, ask any repair person.
