Eskimo Ice Auger

Eskimo Piranha 8" 49cc Ice Auger for sale down here in Missouri. Looks like they don't make them anymore so don't know the age. Supposedly used once. Any idea what I should offer? She wants 250 but is willing to haggle. Have not seen it in person just on a for sale list site.

I thin $250.00 is way high. You can buy a new eskimo for a little more. I'd say $150.00.

Find out which motor it has and you will have it dated . I know they had Tecumseh and then went to Ardisam in the last 5 yrs .Could be different this year since Jiffy and Strikemasters changed things over last three years .

The times I ran an Eskimo I really never had a " beatch" about it .Critique it I could, but they all started and drilled the holes . I was fishing .

Thanks for the replys. I think I'll shoot her a little under 2 and see where it goes. Have to drive 'bout 100 miles round trip to get it if bought.

Eskimo is still making ice augers; they are good units. But $250 is too high. The previous poster was right...somewhere in the $175 neighborhood, if it is decent condition.

I meant the Piranha model. I'm at 180 and she's saying 210 as of now.

Got it for 185. Looks brand new 'cept for the normal heat wear on the muffler.

That has the Tecumseh TC 300 engine. A good, solid auger. I'll bet Ardisam still shows them on their HSOforum.
