Hot Vent heaters.

I am looking for any and all reviews on this type of heater. Looks like a pretty neat way to heat a tent.

Has anyone used this type of heater before, and what did you think of it?

I could see it working pretty well, but having 2 small propane tanks(limited fuel supply) and then needing a haul a battery around would make it a bit of a pain. I know you can get some fairly small 12 volt batteries, but then who knows how long it would run.

I read 3 to 8 hours on a 16 oz propane tank, I have my doubts about that at 20,000 btu.

They also make a tank fitting to attach this unit to a 20#, or larger cylinder. I wouldn't be hauling it back in the woods, but would haul it with to a drive in camp site.

I could see it working well for a portable ice house too.

I like the idea of having the burner outside, especially when you plan to be sleeping in a tent.

I've used my Buddy heater many times in my 10x14 canvas tent is it works awesome. I know we've debated the pros/cons/risks/etc of using the buddy type heater in a tent and I'm 100% OK with it. I know others are not comfy with the idea and that's cool (or cooler than mine anyways:).
