oak ridges

I was just sitting here and listening to the wind howl outside and thinking that the last of the acorns are going to be falling with all of this wind. With the cold snap coming in next week those oak ridges should be prime areas to hunt. I also have an area with alot of black walnuts and they were still dropping as well. Might be a good time to hit some of those white oak stands if you have them on any of the properties you hunt.

Not many whites across most of the state but the deer will pound on those reds just the same. I haven't checked the nearby flats in awhile to see if they're dropping or not. A month ago, a hard hat was required. Find a hot tree and put a camera up, you'll be amazed at what shows up.
