Taxidermist Recommendations

I've got a couple of smallies that I took out of the Rum River that: (a) I want to mount and ( my wife wants out of the freezer. I am not from MN so need some recommendations/suggestions on local taxidermists that do fish well.

I live near Anoka but anywhere in central MN is fine.

Anybody have smallies/fish mounted and satisfied with the quality of the job - especially the coloration?

Toms Taxidermy in Clarks Grove (southen MN)

Hands down the best I have ever seen. He did a walleye for me, and a northern, mallrad, and goose for my bro.

The guy does incredible work. He'll be doing a replica of a big muskie for me next year.

Try out "Tom's Taxidermy" in Clarksgrove, Mn.

He did a smallmouth for me quite awhile ago and it's in fine shape today with an excellent paint job. Looks like it just came out of the river today!

Ed's Taxidermy in Coon Rapids isn't bad either. He has a very nice showroom and does it out of his basement. Very nice guy too.

I know it is on the other side of the cities, but Corcoran Taxidermy in Hampton is who I've been using since 1985. He has done all of my deer and the one fish I have on the wall. He has the credentials to back him up as well, with all of the contest he has been in.

He work, in my opinion is top notch. He also has many awards from the Minnesota Deer Classic, where he competes. He prices are average.

He is located in Hampton.

Tom's in Clarks Grove, is the best!
he has done all my mounts, 4 deer, 1 bear, 4 ducks, 4 fish and he's did alot of mounts for my friends.

Fibertech, does very nice reproductions of fish. They last forever. I have a smallie on my wall that I think looks great!!

I would never do another skin mount. Before you get a skin mount done, I would check into reproduction. You will be happy with Fibertech's work. I think they are on Gull Lake, North of Brainerd.

I second Fibertech. Very nice replicas and at a decent price. Replica mounts will last a lifetime. Located near Brainerd.

I have been very happy with Jeff Holmin of North Star Taxidermy based out of the Nicollet - St Peter area... reasonable rates and very good quality work..... He has done 4 walleyes between myself and other family members. Good Luck

Anderson Tax. in Deerwood. They do very nice work and I would be willing to bet your fish will last many lifetimes!! He did a musky for a friend of mine and it is a beaut!!

Hey Brother Bro, I would agree with ya on that one.
North Star Taxidermy (Jeff Holmin) does some really good work. Haven't got a chance to have any mounts done yet (but close). But if I would have a mount to be done I would go to him first.
