WI kid bags 711 pound bear

I did a quick search on this forum, but didn't see it mentioned. I just found it out myself today.

Quick synopsis: Kid from Hawkins, WI, got it on his family farm. Late in the day, had three bears at the bait station when they all spooked. Then Mack Dady walks in and kid smacks it with a .270. Weighted 656 field dressed and green scored 23 10/16.

Its obviously a scanned photo. I have a feeling it was taken with a film camera, maybe even disposable. Agreed, wish there was a better pic.

Sad part of this kids bear is he will more than likey never shot one bigger.

He killed the king of the north woods.

Be like shooting a 200 point class buck on your 1st hunt, nothing to look forward too in the coming years.

obvious forced perspective. check the shadows. kid's definitely a few feet behind the bear.

I fail to see a sad point in that. but understand what ya mean where do after that, Kodiaks? They dont get a whole over that on the pad. WoW! An record book skull, dried it should still be 23 or so A tru whopper! Boar
