pinkfloyd4ever
My song files are on I Tunes, but I do not have an I Pod but a basic phillips mp3 player. I tunes will not transfer songs to the phillips. Is there a way to open the I Tunes library into windows media so i can transfer them that way? I've tried a few times but all it does is send the name of the song to the mp3 player not the actual song. Thanks
LMITOUT
Not sure what formats your player can play, but you can drag and drop songs from your "music" folder in iTunes to your desktop or other predetermined folder. I do this to move music from iTunes to my phone. This might work for your player as well.
PierBridge
The M4P music files you purchased from iTunes store are DRM protected. They cannot be played without iTunes, iPod, iPhone or other Apple products. So you cannot directly play them on your Philips MP3 player until you convert them. You need some software to convert the protected M4P music file to unprotected MP3 first, and then you can play the mp3 files with your Philips MP3 player.TuneClone which is free along with programs similar is such a program to easily convert the M4P music file to MP3, WAV and unprotected WMA. You can find it on the web with a google search, download TuneClone and convert the M4P music files to MP3 files and play them with your Philips MP3 player. Jim Almquist
The software that I used was called " Free MP4A to MP3 " and was found with a quick search.
jwhjr
You can also convert songs to mp3 format from within iTunes.
Jim43
You can also convert songs to mp3 format from within iTunes. Only when you burn to a disk with the MP4`s. You can then inport them back into Itunes as MP3`s. Be sure not to overwritethe original MP4`s though.

Be sure not to overwritethe original MP4`s though. Pretty sure that's spot on. However more and more of their songs can be switched over to DRM free MP3's for 30(?) cents each at a higher bit rate.
