WMA's and outboard motors?

I am looking at hunting a lake that has a WMA on the south end. Is it alright to run an outboard motor on this lake?

I would look in the hunting manual and check for that lake.

I hunt as lake that has a WMA on part of it and you can use boat motors but not sure about the lake you want to hunt.

I looked thru the regs and nothing is said in regards to WMA's partially connected to lakes.

My understanding is NO if it is 100% in the WMA, YES if it is just part of the WMA. I am not certain where the line is drawn, if say you are deep in a WMA that has some water outside of it. You may want to call the CO to be safe.

Yes it is fine, if it were a waterfowl resting area then no. I hunt a lake that is 1/2 surrounded by a WMA and been checked by the DNR and they have never mentioned it.

I didn't even know there was a WMA on the south side of Pelican. If you are hunting that other lake nearby...it has a no motor zone...but there is no cover there anyways.
