I'm old so don't take this wrong, but I bought a benelli nova, hated it, but I know it's a good gun but it's made for a dude with longer arms, I stood it up next to my remingtons and the stock is about 2" longer and once I put the layers of clothing on I had a tougher time shouldering it, but I've used a remington wingmaster, 30" barrel in the lead days (80)'s, same through most of the 90's switching though to steel went with the 870express pump, then to the 3.5" remington synthetics. The Nova was tougher to shoulder, that's all because I couldn't clear my clothing in the armpitish area, but easily found a buyer for it. The benelli was plenty smooth, just I felt I was reaching too far and it was messing up the objective of folding bodies.

Benelli Super Nova, 26", 3" black cloud. Shoots amazing, very accurate, kicks like nothing, and easy to shoulder.

I would defenitly agree with that i shoot a Benelli super nova, also with a 26", with realtree apg, lets just say not many ducks or geese get educated when i am shooting the super nova

That's why we go out to gun shops and try them out, shoulder a few guns....I have been shooting the Nova for the last 8 years and everytime I pick up a different brand of gun it is off when I shoulder it but the Benelli's shoulder right on when I test them out at stores and etc. The Nova is indeed a heavy gun, that's the only negative I can say other than the stock rattles a little bit.

i was using a charles daily 12 guage, but the lock for the bolt broke, and the company is out of buisness, so i went back to the trusty moss 5oo pump, had to get used to pumping after every shot, but still getting ducks

Bennelli Montifelo for me. Question I have is what choke is best for pass shooting for geese. Mainly hunt pheasants but dad is up in years and so will take him to Talcott this weekend and see if he can hit anything.

The pattern master is really nice very spendy for a choke, i got one as a gift and can notice the differances, GREAT choke for that

Win X2. Its a killing machine. Ducks, pheasants, or whatever. I dont believe in aftermarket choke tubes as I dont really see a difference. Id like to say I have a special tube but my x2 patterns just fine with steel shot with the stock mod. Why spend $80 when I already have a busy choc lab?

I still use my old 11-87 Super Mag and after a few hickups with parts, it works like a dream. I love how it shoots as I have been shooting Remingtons since 1971 and that gun was a 1100. Love the way it points and the recoil is minimal. I buy American!

Primary = Benelli Super Black Eagle II Max4 HD, Backup = 870 3" mag Gloss, I love my 870 more than the Benelli. If for some reason the ducks don't come raining down like they should its to the 870, I can hit more with that gun than any other but its all gloss and for ducks thats not good.

After 15 years with my 870 it will be sitting out for a while this season. Have to get it to a gunsmith to have it fixed, but in the mean time I'll be happily shooting a Benelli SBE.

Winchester 1300 pump in Advantage camo pattern. Though over the past couple years, I have shot almost as many ducks with my pheasant gun...a Winchester Select Field O/U. But the trusty ol' 870 Express Magnum is at the ready to drop birds whenever called upon...and it tends to get called upon a couple times per season.
