Stringerless!
You had better call your Dnr area manager and find out. No warning or meetings looking for public input ?
broken_line
thats what i plan on. nope!!! i heard that they were going to flood the tiled weland at the bottom but NOTHING about making it off limits to all hunting. alot of people pheasant and deer hunt this WMA. i cant beleive it. and theres an elderly guy that tought me how to hunt that can only really hunt at that particular spot beacause he has bad feet and knees if its off limits im afraid he will have to give it up :'( :'(
CANOPY SAM
I take it these are new signs?"A lot of people pheasant and deer hunt this WMA." The sign does read, Open to Public Hunting except During Duck Season.I'd call the DNR for clarification.
B. Amish
the dnr moves these duck sanctuaries around from wma to wma every few years.
Quackaddict9
i cant beleive it. and theres an elderly guy that tought me how to hunt that can only really hunt at that particular spot beacause he has bad feet and knees if its off limits im afraid he will have to give it up :'( :'( I don't think he will have to since it's only closed to waterfowl hunting. crawler harness
I would go with he cannot hunt it for deer. The sign says open for public hunting excpet during the waterfowl season. So from Oct 2- Nov 30 you would not be able to hunt it for any game species.
Quackaddict9
Yeah- you're right, I mis-read it.
broken_line
well i drove around and the part that me and this older gentleman hunt doesnt have any of the duck sanctuary signs on it... yet! ill keep my fingers crossed that none go up. i will take picture tmo of what they are doing, its sorta neat. they are using the over flow from the nearby lake and flodding a large portion of the WMA there will be flodded timber and wheat which should be a good resting spot for the ducks! and mabe keep a few more around for shooting latter on (:
