If its hitting on all three it should be able to hold its own. I'd be looking at the clutch and belt to make sure you have full movement of the sheaves and the belt is the correct length and width.

If that stuff is ok, suspend the track and make sure you have free movement while rotating it by hand. Bad bearings on the drive shaft or idlers will put a big drag on any sled.

shocks are not rebuildable. Easiest way to get more speed is to sell it and get a newer model. Pipes clutching and gearing make those triples pretty quick. As said before check your clutches out and always check belt tension with a straight edge. A tri angle helix like the t1 42-37-34 will definately help.

you should see if you can find an old issue of snow tech magizine. they had the best set up for the xlt. i want to say it was a blue primary spring and a gold secondary with the t1 helix. i had the set up in my 93 and the thing was fast but on long streches the rpms started to float up
