I know we have had our threads about old video games and consoles, but the discussion in the other thread has turned into a controller war and who was first type thing. I figured it would be cool to look at the evolution of the video game console and paddle/controller history from the beginning. Kind of gives you an idea of how what got to where:

Cool thread Shack.... I'm not a gamer.... last system I owned was a Nintendo, but it's cool to see how far we've come. I had NO IDEA there were that many game systems!

My dad has an old Pong machine stashed away somewhere and it still works. I didn't see a photo of the one like his.

I also have an Intellivision which was my first game console. Later I added the voice module which was one of the first game consoles to have voice. Intellivision had superior graphics to the Atari 2600 which were kind of the two competing consoles at the time, but the Atari was far more popular.

The hours that I spent on the old Vootrex I just got rid of my 16 bit Genesis and all the games. Lots of golf played on that system - Pre Tiger Woods era

Found the Bally Professional Arcade at a garage sale for $2. Still have the box / manuals / instructions and registration card! Don't think it works, but these things sell for good prices on that big auction site!

Anyone owning the older systems could make some good money on that site I bet! Especially with a lot of games!

i have an old pace 5 cent slot mashine. i found it in my fatherinlaws house after he passed away. whish i knew where he got that from. good luck.
