SOX Writer Joe Cowley goes nuts on Minnesota

Delmon deserves to get beaned, and he will. It is how the game is played. It will be during the next series. Although I do believe Ozzy has to much class to order the retaliation, but the players dont! Delmon should also be expecting one, and have no hard feelings when he gets it, just a tip of the hat to the pitcher, and a wink at A.J.

UMMMMMMMMM we were down 5 runs and you can't get caught off 3rd under any circumstances what so ever! the run means nothing and the out and Kubels chance to get us within 2 runs means everything in that situation. The aggressiveness Gardys is talking about has nothing to do with that situation and I'm sure Gardy about dropped dead when Cuddy did his little league move.

Granted it probably didn't matter in the lambasting we took but it was an inexcusable play on Cuddyers part for the situation.

I think that you're all wrong. Zamboni, I chose your quote but many above said the same thing. Watch the replay, AJ actually stepped out of the base path when he saw Delmon coming. Delmon then went towards AJ (towards 1st base) and did the double forearms to AJ's head. Delmon was a good 1-2 feet from home plate and never even attempted to tag home. His sole intent has to hit AJ, not even jar the ball loose (which AJ was holding at his chest) or tag home.

I didn't mind the play, but you're all lying to yourselves if you think Delmon was just trying to jar the ball loose. It was low class but that's the kind of stuff that fuel good rivalries. This one is just heating up.

That's just a plain ol silly perception with emphasis on perception. Nothing dirty at all nor did AJ take it that way (if you bothered to listen to AJ after the game) and it was a bang bang play where Delmon did one of the options he could have done fairly. Never heard any Sox whining like their fans and writers do.

On that note, What Happened to Windy? Guess we'll have to wait until some later date when a Chicago team shows up again smile
