Weather Patterns - Good or Bad?

I am definitely in what you would call "learn mode", so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

We are heading to the Bemdiji area in about 10 days.

It appears like the HOT weather is going to cool down to the 70's for the next week or so.

Is this going to make the LMB fishing better or slower?

I know it is a fairly general question and there are many other factors -- but just looking for some opinions.

Thanks,

Doug

You are looking for stable weather, whether it's cool or hot. Obviously high pressure, blue bird skies makes the bite tougher but basically a 3 or 4 day stretch of stable weather usually produces a good bite.

Fishing is usually decent when the weather stabilizes. With stable weather fish tend to stay put, their only concern being dinner. Bright skies and low wind will put them a little tighter into cover, but they won't be as tight-lipped as they would be just after a cold front. I find early morning during stable weather to be some of the best fishing you'll get all year.
