bogwalker
My son went to open one of our favorite bait sites this morning. In the last 4 years we never got our boots wet getting in there. Today the water topped his knee high rubber boots. We will have to be right on when shooting. No good tracking through water. Anyone else get wet? fr0sty
I hope the county gets rid of the beaver dam that's turning my swamp into a freakin' lake! If they don't get at it soon, I could be canoeing to my stand...

bogwalker
If you haul your bait by sled it floats along almost weightless. Gotta look on the positive side.
cherokee
I discovered a problem with my 4 wheeler this weekend while baiting. The waterholes are unusually deep and in going through some of them I found out mice chewed through the plastic hose that vents the clutch/belt. I had major slippage and could hardly get out of one of my pits. Took a bit to take it all apart and put it back together.
bogwalker
Much more rain and I'll be wearing a snorkel. Are spear guns legal for bear?

lakeshoremunster
Its been too much rain, so much that it washed out the road where i was planning on hunting that the dnr closed the road down, I will not know when it will be open again until this thursday when they decide what to do, at least thats when they told me to call again. luckey
Water, Water, Water everywhere. Yes, we too have lots of water. Road and trails are flooded. Normally in August we can walk through swamps with tennis shoes, not so this year. I don't know if there will be enought time to dry things out before fall.
