Jim Almquist Posted August 11, 2010 Share Posted August 11, 2010 This is from my Venison Recipes Family Tested distributed by the MDHA Hope this is what you are looking for.Creamy Swiss Steak2 pounds boneless venison loin or steaksalt and pepper4 Tbl flour1 small onion1 can cream of mushroom or celery soup1/2 cup water,broth, or dry white wine1 Tbl steak sauceCut meat into serving portions. Season the meat with salt and pepper and dust in flour. Heat a little oil in the skillet and brown the meat on both sides. Remove meat from skillet and brown onion a minute or so. Alternate meat and onion in the crock pot. Mix remaining ingredients and pour them over the meat. Cover and cook at low heat for 6 to 8 hours. KEN W Posted August 11, 2010 Share Posted August 11, 2010 I use the same recipe except I add a pkg of Lipton Onion soup mix.I also dredge the meat in flour and brown it instead of adding it later.If you are using round steak.....pound them with a meat tenderizer mallet.You can make this if you tenderize it first in the oven at 350 for 1 hour instead of using the crockpot.
