Sealing of Asphalt driveway.

Thanks. Gives me an idea.

Why would anyone seal it themselves for prices like that?

How about asking how a company could do it that cheaply? Manpower and equipment would seem to cover this quotes. So what did they really put on the driveway? There used to be a guy on here that railed against doing the sealing thing claiming that it didn't do anything to prolong the life, that it just made it look good.

Filling the cracks alone will prolong the life, you can't argue that. Maybe the rest IS cosmetic, but a new finish looks good on a driveway too!

Sealed my driveway last year myself cost close to $200 2 coats . 1st time since I moved in 16 years ago, My asphalt has rocks from 1/4 inch to 3/4 inch, the rocks started popping out the last few years was definetly worth resealing. My driveway looks in better shape than some of the neighbors who had new asphalt put down a few years back. Get a local company thats been around for a while to give u a price. Forget the door to door guys, who knows what their putting down.
