You guys should see if you can get AOL radio. Pandora is good, but when I used it, it limits you on some things. iHeart is good for some local and a huge amount of radio stations across the country. I just have found for cutting the grass and doing work, AOL has soo much music streaming, hundreds of channels and many channels dedicated to on artist, you always find a couple you want to listen to at the same time. Just wait for ice fishing and you turn up the tunes on your smartphone. wink . Saved us in late winter 09' on LOW in a rental for the day. grin

One app have come to love is the HP wireless printing app. If you have a wireless printer you can send e-mails, files, and other content to be printed.

KTLK-FM (100.3) is a Clear Channel station so the iHeartRadio app would allow you to listen to the Vikes.

1500 is not a Clear Channel station so that app won't work.

BTW, I believe the radios in these phones are FM only. At least my EVO is...

Pandora -

How do I change this to allow me to listen to the one artist I originally looked up?

On the bottom menu bar there is a button with three horizontal lines. Press that and it'll bring up your stations where you can change to another artist's "channel" or create a new one.

Or, are you asking if you can get a channel that plays one song after another with the same artist?

Pandora plays songs that are related or are similar to the artist you select. Similar genre.

Anybody try PingChat?

Supposed to be similar to Blackberry Messenger, which totally rocked when I had a BB to chat with friends with BB's. No text fees. The part that makes PingChat so attractive is that it works across multiple platforms (BB, Android, and iPhone), whereas BBM only worked between BB's.

I just installed it on my EVO and now waiting to see if a buddy will install it on his BB to try it out.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, but it was something else that turned me off and I found AOL instead. Maybe it was you were stuck with (at the time) only one or two artists and the skip over thing unless you paid. I know AOL and I think iHeart, they are totally free & you do not have to sign up/sign in for anything. Just listen?

Well, I guess I should just get the app and give it a try again. grin

I purchased a car mount / charger combo from Best Buy. It was $13 more than the Verizon car mount.

I also bought an "invisible shield" as well as a PT case.

I'm hard on my phone, especially in the line of work, so I'm trying to protect the screen as much as I can.

I have a set of Klipsch ear buds that I use while working.

Idk if they got a body glove for the x yet but I love the one I got on my original droid.

I finally got some headphones since I have been using pandora a lot. Target had some skull candy earbuds for 10$ and they are great. Maybe I'm crazy but I think they are as good or better than the original bose ones I got.

Also, I worked the battery to death today.

I was listening to Pandora from 8 am until 4 pm, with about 30 minutes for lunch. I'd left the GPS on, and carried it in my holster, pulling it out periodically to punish Pandora whenever it would try to play Elvis as "old country". grin

I'll be 38 in November, and have Marty Robbins radio on Pandora for the most part, and when I feel edgy, I've got Johnny Cash radio. The wife just rolls her eyes. blush

I've got an issue with the Droid, and neither Verizon nor Motorola can help me with it.

When I have headphones plugged in, a small bump or jar of the headphone jack will periodically cause the phone to go to "say a command" mode, or call the last number called.

This is either in the pocket or in a belt clip holster.

I push the "sleep" button on top each time I put it away, and I have to swipe when I "wake up" the phone.

Motorola wanted me to do a master reset, and I said no. I told them that what they were trying to do wouldn't matter. It's not about having a pattern to "unlock" the phone instead of a swipe, because it does it while the phone is still locked out in the holster, face in.

It's not alot, maybe 3 times / day, some times a bit more, but it sucks when it calls back a customer that you just talked to while the mower is running full throttle.

Of course it can't be replicated at the Verizon store.

maybe its pushing the unlock button in your pocket? My Touch Pro 2 would do that a lot and push buttons and call people. I found an app or CAB as we call them in Windows phones that was a proximty sensor. Basically anytime the light sensor is covered the phone sleeps. so anytime it goes in my pocket and i hit the button it see's its dark out and the phone instantly goes back to sleep not allowing the phone to dial anyone.

maybe there is an app for the droid x?
