2010 MLB Trade Deadline

I for one am thrilled the Twins still have Revere, Gibson and Hicks in the system. No two month rent a players. No $16M due to one 34 year old pitcher for next year.

I get we could have used another starter. But given the cost for the #1's and even the not so #1's, I'm glad we only parted with Ramos and got a good closer.

Liriano, Pavano and even Slowly have been lights out for more than 3+ games each. Duensing will be a serviceable # 4. Baker...ehhhh.

Our hitting lineup looks very good from top to bottom even without Morneau in the lineup or Joe at 100%.

We'll never have more firepower than the Yanks. But I'm feeling pretty good with what we have.

Bring on the Rays....

As much as I would have liked for them to pick up Lee or another decent starter, I'm not too dissappointed. We are built to win for a decent amount of time yet and the Twins will rarely, if ever make the BIG move for a rental.

Only time will tell, but our lineup is looking pretty good right now.... only if the Mighty Whities would start losing!!

JUST a hunch, I think the do nothing approach to our starters will cost us another 1 and done or not even winning the central. Seems to be lots of extra money to be spent with the stadium.
