DRH1175
Our Travel trailer is really low to the Ground and I want to get it raised for more clearance. Right now the leaf springs are mounted below the axle with a spacer. I was thinking of getting them raised to the top of the axles. Anyone know who would do this and how to do this. Looking at my Trailer it doesn't look to hard.
Powerstroke
A spring-over is not too hard, but you need to have spring perches welded to the top of the axle tubes. This will give 3-6" of lift depending on the size of the axles.
Redlantern
How about Brinkman's trailers on the east side of 35 and just south of 97? Or maybe Coates RV over by Gander Mountain?
jeffreyd
i would have an actual spring shop do it. to me this is like going to the doctor for a tooth ache. they have the ability to build, modify, or replace the springs on the spot usually. had a buddy do it to his travel trailer dealer wanted to replace the axle and springs, no credit for the old ones, he went to a spring shop here in town they did it in a day. i just did a quick search, i would contact minnesota spring and suspension in minneapolis and ask them what they think, they should be able to give you a pretty close estimate on what it will cost. heat checker
My 98 Jayco had three different bolt holes on the shackle bracket to raise or lower the height. Might be easier to add a bracket on the frame to get the needed lift.
