mistermom
It was on channel 45 KSTC not long ago. I haven't watched for over a month; but it was there.mm
Shorelunch
Tis the season of few fishing shows - since a vast majority of their audiences are on the water on the weekends. OLN and Outdoor Channel air them throughout the year but local network stations and Fox end up selling most of their time to infomercials. Look for them to return, as usual, January - March. jegerjack
I just caught a few mins of a show which I think it was Al Linder. He was talking about god and other religious topics. Does anyone know what I was watching? Does his new show have a religious theme? He talk about the struggles he has gone through and how god has helped him. It was not an interview, it was a fishing show. It was almost like a sermon. I do not care if he has brought more of a religious theme, I am just wondering.JegerJack.------------------"What did the old man trade for these guys, a used puck bag?" JP Z
The Lindner's have always been rather religious. And I know that they are showing that more now in their shows. I don't know if they are pushing it more per say I just know that they are acknowledging God more so to speak in their show and lives........yep I completely confused you sorry about that. Walleye_GFA
At the end of every Fishing Edge, they have a 30 second byte about God... I think its great !!! Its the only time in the show he talks about it, so it should be cool by everyone...Going the right way folks !!!Wally
mistermom
Wally my friend you know that it won't be cool by everyone. Hopefully the folks who don't like it will boycot the show and shut-up rather than try and make the Lindner's do the show differently.mm
Blackstarluver
Anyone remember the fish with a cross symbol that used adorn the cover of a certain magazine published in Brainerd? The Lindners started their new company and show after the no-compete clause expired after they sold their former company. I read that they wanted to have a more christian bend towards their productions, and that is fine with me.There is no such thing as a simple question here is there?Good luck!JC
Aqua Eye
I support the new Lindners project full heartedly! There are few things in this world that I respect more than that 30 second plug at the end of the show. It takes real guts to stand up and show your faith to a world that is continually attempting to stack the deck aqainst what you believe. Some people would argue that by expressing their faith, the Lindners are taking a big gamble and could turn some viewers off. I disagree with that way of thinking, and I would welcome a group of outdoorsman like that into my home any time. The two shows that I have been fortunate to see so far have been outstanding! Would we expect any less? -TROY

DARK30
That fish symbol (without the cross on it)was used by the first Christians as a way to indentify each other as a "friendly". If they were found out, they were killed for following the teachings of Jesus. Remember...Jesus's best friends were fisherman. WAY TO GO AL!!------------------cast,cast,cast,cast...... Deemo
It is the slow season for the media guys. They are out taping shows and getting them ready for airing. They get more guys watching in the winter. That will mean less in MN and ND,SD when the opener happens. They know when to do there thing for the max impact. DO you like the show?? So did I ..when the season starts you are fishing not watching tv. I love the guys he has workin with him and Al Linder will always be able to motavate people. He could talk about cell phones. Thank god he loves fishing and he likes to teach it. If he does a blerb// about christian values so be it. Its nice to see a honest man doin what he thinks is right. He knew he would come back when the time limit was done. Even tho he had probs. He waited and as soon as he could he started again.... He is ok in my book. Guest
The Lindners have always been very spiritual folks, nothing wrong with that, more power to them.In my opinion the new shows that I was able to see were great. Well done and balanced in the content. The christian fishing network thing went back many years, maybe 25 or more, nothing new really.I have friends and clients that are a part of the same clan of Christan fisherman, great folks. The Lindners do good media work in many formats. Al is publicity savvy, Ron is very business savvy. They make a great team.

Walleye_GFA
Yup its great... not to get political (MM rolls his eyes in anticipation) but the quiet Christian folks are the majority, but sadly we are letting the minority eat away at our beliefs and rights... Look at the last election... big cities vs. rest of the ground space... Our nation is going the right direction, with more people with gonads like Bush and those with nads and influence (for outdoor folk) like Lindner, we will keep taking back some ground... Its sad that people are more comfortable talking about some topics that used to be "taboo" than theya re talking openly about Jesus. Im Done !!! blkfrg
As a non-Christian angler, I have no problem with Al and the boys speaking what they believe on their show. I like the show because it seems that it is one of the FEW fishing shows that actually gives useful information, rather than just video of some bubba catching bass. It is an excellant fishing show and even if I don't care about what Jesus did/didn't do whenever, I will watch the show, after the soft-water season closes of course
Guest
One thing to remember, they don't speak of Jesus on the show. They only refer to God. That could be any God you believe in.------------------Mille Lacs Guide Service 651-271-5459www.millelacsguideservice.com

mistermom
Hey BSL!I really only know enough Norwegian to get my face slapped. I am 100% Norwegian heritage; but I have picked up a few sayings from my father-in-law from Brooten, MN. He is German but Brooten is very Norwegian. So he says these little Norwegian sayings to me all the time. Actually wish I did speak it.MM
uffdapete
It's quite encouraging to read all the positive feedback about the way the Lindnershave chosen to share what they believe. I admire them and agree with their message!
