Boar
I enjoy beat meat to the fullest, I'm alway interested in how other people prepare it. I love bear burger on the grill, an just love a roast properly made, sear it in hot butter on all sides, then add all the searings into the slow cooker with the roast an give it a 6 hr slow cook, Oh MY.. The drippings make the best gravy ever. Using butter instead of oil is the key, just becarefull not to burn the butter to much. I also love to make swiss bear steak, man cant wait to stuff the freezer. Boar
HNTNBUX
I go pretty basic, based on my processing skills. The backstraps are chops, the rest is burger. But with bear, antelope and deer I usually end up with enough chops to keep me happy.
cherokee
Oh the best I've had was a steak marinated, bacon wrapped and grilled to perfection. Bear is almost better than deer in my opinion. It doesn't last as long in the freezer though.
KGPZ
I'm preaching to the choir--skin it, cut it, and cool it RIGHT NOW is the key.Bear meat is delicious, if it is cared for properly in the field.

Random guy
Bear meat is delicious, if it is cared for properly in the field. 10-4 on that. Once a bear is down that is priority #1 for us. Actaully the main reason we invested the money into a on site walk in freezer/cooler. I have had bear meat form bear that was not propelry cared for and it was brutal, now meat from a bear that was cooled and cleaned the right way is very tender and has great flavor. \I am a big fan of the 1/2 pound bear burger. Complete with monster sized bun and BBQ sauce and a few fried onions.
