How much stock do you guys put in the moon cycles? I have never put much, other than enjoying the full moon if I'm lucky enough to be on the water at that time. Do some guys plan trips around it? Just curious...

I have caught most of my biggest walleyes during the full moons of June and October. When I was a little more hardcore I would plan my vacations around them but now I just try to get out anywhere 3 days before and after the full moon even if its just for a day.

You bet, I'm sure those that run fishing resorts and camps could confirm that from the amount of reservations they get on a full and new moon.

I have noticed that some of them contradict each other where it calls for it to be a poor, fair, good or excelent day.

I can tell you that I plan my deer hunting around the feeding periods that are on my In-Fisherman calendar when I bow hunt and I have game camera pictures to prove that the feeding/deer activity is very close to the times. Fish I can't say for all species but you post this question in the muskie forum and you'll get almost a 100% agreement that they plan there trips around the full/new moons.
