Buying a vehicle from a "no haggle" Dealership

Recommended Posts

Iam looking at buying a new truck. The dealer I am looking at is a "No Haggle" dealership. Anyone bought from one and did you get the price you wanted without haggling? If you find a better price somewhere else do they match it? Thanks

The dealership I buy from sells their trucks at Dealer Invoice . They figure they make enough money from the 3% holdback and all the sales incentives they get plus they are family owned so they don't have as much overhead as the larger dealerships hence the savings. There is a lot of info on the internet on prices of vehicles that you can use if need be.

I was able to save $3-4k two years ago on my SUV by NOT buying from a no haggle. The internet is your friend!!! Find a few similar vehicles you like and pit the dealers against each other.

I would never buy from a "no haggle" dealer unless there price is the best. Like said before find a couple simmilar vehicles and pit the dealers against each other. Ive never bought a new vehicle only used, but Ive never paid asking price for anything.

The last two vehicles I bought were at $500 below dealer invoice plus I got all the applicable rebates. Ask them to show your dealer invoice, supplier pricing and employee pricing. It they won't, walk away. Its a buyers market. Tell them what you want and start walking towards the door if they don't give it to you. They will be calling you back to the desk before you hit the door. They want to make the sale. Also negotiate any add on's you want like spray-in bed liners etc. Come to the table with facts and with competitive information. You will walk away with a good deal.

If you pay DEALER INVOICE you are paying too much.

DEALER INVOICE is the cost of the vehicle for the dealership to buy ONE vehicle before any incentives, rebates, and discounts are applied from the distributor and manufacturer.

Dealerships buy multiple units at one time (cheaper) lowering shipping and destination charges as well as the total price of each individual vehicle..

Rebates, incentives, discounts, loyalty cash, trade-in allowance, special financing etc are all reimbursements from the manufacturer, so if you pay invoice, you've given the dealership all that cash.

Shop around and compare prices. "No haggle" means they will not haggle....until you walk away of course.

My brother bought a new truck....sicker was $41,760, invoice was $37,860, and he paid $31,700.

when i bought my second to last truck, i drove to each lot that i would consider buying. I knew what vehicle i was looking at, wrote the stock number on the back of a business card. when the salesman came up to me, i handed him my card, told him that he had til noon the next day to contact me with the best price out the door they could do. But made it very clear that the time limit mattered to me as it was a test on their desire to work with me. one dealer called at 1 pm i told him that i would not consider his price since he could not meet my timeline. he then started to bash the other dealers in the area, at which i told him what he could do with his truck and hung up. The dodge dealer came through with the best price but the last requirement before i signed the last paper was they had to make sure if fit in my garage as that was one of their selling points. they drove it to my house, drove in the garage head first, wont fit, he backed in and the truck fit. he had the last paper with him, i signed it and gave him the keys to my trade in he drove away i closed the garage door.

Long story but they work for you when it comes to buying, dont fall into the what can you afford question, find out what the exact price with whatever features you want ie extended warranty, alarm fancy radio etc, and get the price. good luck, these days you dont have to leave your house to buy a vehicle. and they are trying to get rid of them now for the new line to come in.
